# Tygo vs Aroma Red Player

Tygo and Aroma Red Player both sit at 3.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 29% of Tygo's written reviews are positive against 10% of Aroma Red Player's. Aroma Red Player's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Aroma Red Player holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 487 and 216 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of Tygo's written reviews are positive against 10% of Aroma Red Player's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
