# Plantoid vs Hedgies

The clearest difference is rating: Hedgies at 3.7 against Plantoid's 2.0. Hedgies also leads on ratings volume (22 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). Plantoid's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Plantoid sells 9 one-off in-app purchases and Hedgies sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hedgies holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hedgies has 22 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Plantoid ships an update every 5 days, Hedgies every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
