# PRINCIPLES PROLOGUE vs Once Human

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: PRINCIPLES PROLOGUE at none against Once Human's 27. PRINCIPLES PROLOGUE also leads on review sentiment (76% vs 55%). Once Human's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 5 months) and rating (4.5 vs 4.3). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Once Human sells 27 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. PRINCIPLES PROLOGUE asks for nothing beyond the download.

Once Human holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Once Human has 291 ratings behind it against 58, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of PRINCIPLES PROLOGUE's written reviews are positive against 55% of Once Human's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PRINCIPLES PROLOGUE ships an update every 5 months, Once Human monthly. Both last shipped on October 17, 2026.
