# Blobsbuster vs Save the Planet 3D

The clearest difference is rating: Blobsbuster at 4.5 against Save the Planet 3D's 1.9. Blobsbuster also leads on ratings volume (7.6K vs 8). Save the Planet 3D's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 16%) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Blobsbuster holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 1.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Blobsbuster has 7.6K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 16% of Blobsbuster's written reviews are positive against 50% of Save the Planet 3D's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Blobsbuster ships an update weekly, Save the Planet 3D every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
