# Diary Book vs Nightink

The clearest difference is ads: Nightink at none against Diary Book's shown. Nightink also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and review sentiment (100% vs 80%). Diary Book's advantage is ratings volume (313 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Diary Book sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Nightink sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Nightink holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Diary Book has 313 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 80% of Diary Book's written reviews are positive against 100% of Nightink's.

Diary Book ships an update every 3 months, Nightink every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
