# Wallpapers Now vs Dockland

The clearest difference is ads: Wallpapers Now at none against Dockland's shown. Wallpapers Now also leads on ratings volume (4.8K vs 135) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). Dockland's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs monthly). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wallpapers Now sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.19 per month and Dockland sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Wallpapers Now holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wallpapers Now has 4.8K ratings behind it against 135, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Wallpapers Now's written reviews are positive against 67% of Dockland's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Wallpapers Now ships an update monthly, Dockland every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
