# CozyRead vs eratu

The clearest difference is ads: eratu at none against CozyRead's shown. eratu also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). CozyRead's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (200 vs 8). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CozyRead sells 12 one-off in-app purchases and eratu sells 67 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CozyRead holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CozyRead has 200 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 93% of CozyRead's written reviews are positive against 100% of eratu's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CozyRead ships an update every 5 weeks, eratu fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
