# The Snow Clock vs YPlayer

The clearest difference is update cadence: YPlayer at every 10 days against The Snow Clock's monthly. The Snow Clock's advantage is iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Snow Clock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and YPlayer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

The Snow Clock ships an update monthly, YPlayer every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
