# EKIS vs Sum

The clearest difference is ads: EKIS at none against Sum's shown. Sum's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 6 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EKIS sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Sum sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

EKIS ships an update every 6 months, Sum every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
