# TapTap vs Cloudone Self

The clearest difference is rating: TapTap at 4.7 against Cloudone Self's 4.0. TapTap also leads on ratings volume (10K vs 18) and update cadence (every 11 days vs every 2 months). Cloudone Self's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TapTap sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Cloudone Self asks for nothing beyond the download.

TapTap holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TapTap has 10K ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of TapTap's written reviews are positive against 56% of Cloudone Self's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TapTap ships an update every 11 days, Cloudone Self every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
