# ExtraStudent vs StudyGram Academy

The clearest difference is review sentiment: StudyGram Academy at 100% against ExtraStudent's 37%. StudyGram Academy also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.1). ExtraStudent's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 1.0) and update cadence (every 11 days vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ExtraStudent holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ExtraStudent has 17 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 37% of ExtraStudent's written reviews are positive against 100% of StudyGram Academy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ExtraStudent ships an update every 11 days, StudyGram Academy every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
