# MasterDex vs GoDex

The clearest difference is ratings volume: MasterDex at 1.8K against GoDex's 1. MasterDex also leads on iOS requirement (16.6 vs 18.0). GoDex's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and update cadence (every 8 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MasterDex sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and GoDex sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GoDex holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MasterDex has 1.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MasterDex ships an update every 3 weeks, GoDex every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
