# MasterDex vs OneRip

The clearest difference is ads: OneRip at none against MasterDex's shown. MasterDex's advantage is ratings volume (1.7K vs 17) and review sentiment (87% vs 67%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MasterDex sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and OneRip sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MasterDex holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MasterDex has 1.7K ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 87% of MasterDex's written reviews are positive against 67% of OneRip's.

MasterDex ships an update every 3 weeks, OneRip monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
