# PE Scholar vs Active Minds

The clearest difference is update cadence: PE Scholar at every 10 days against Active Minds's monthly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PE Scholar sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $49.99 per year and Active Minds sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $39.99 per 6 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PE Scholar ships an update every 10 days, Active Minds monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
