# iHabit vs ChatX

The clearest difference is ratings volume: ChatX at 482 against iHabit's 4. ChatX also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). iHabit's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iHabit sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per 3 months and ChatX sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

iHabit holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ChatX has 482 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 91% of iHabit's written reviews are positive against 88% of ChatX's.

iHabit ships an update every 6 weeks, ChatX fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
