# Footprinting vs cetera

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Footprinting at none against cetera's 1. Footprinting also leads on device support (4 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.4). cetera's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. cetera sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. Footprinting asks for nothing beyond the download.

Footprinting ships an update every 2 months, cetera weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
