# Extreme VPN vs Pro Security vpn

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Extreme VPN at 97% against Pro Security vpn's 50%. Extreme VPN also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). Pro Security vpn's advantage is rating (3.8 vs 3.0) and update cadence (every 3 days vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Extreme VPN sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Pro Security vpn sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pro Security vpn holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 13 and 53 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 97% of Extreme VPN's written reviews are positive against 50% of Pro Security vpn's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Extreme VPN ships an update monthly, Pro Security vpn every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
