# Learn Korean (Beginners) vs WordJet

The clearest difference is monetization model: Learn Korean (Beginners) at free with in-app purchases against WordJet's subscription. Learn Korean (Beginners) also leads on ratings volume (250 vs 25). WordJet's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Learn Korean (Beginners) sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and WordJet sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Learn Korean (Beginners) against 4.8 for WordJet. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Learn Korean (Beginners) has 250 ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 83% of Learn Korean (Beginners)'s written reviews are positive against 93% of WordJet's.

Learn Korean (Beginners) ships an update monthly, WordJet every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
