# LightPDF vs Contixo

The clearest difference is rating: Contixo at 5.0 against LightPDF's 4.1. Contixo also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks) and review sentiment (100% vs 88%). LightPDF's advantage is ratings volume (54 vs 3) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LightPDF sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $13.99 per 7 days and Contixo sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Contixo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LightPDF has 54 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 88% of LightPDF's written reviews are positive against 100% of Contixo's.

LightPDF ships an update every 2 weeks, Contixo every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
