# LMD Drive vs MySurge

LMD Drive and MySurge both sit at 2.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 20% of LMD Drive's written reviews are positive against 0% of MySurge's. LMD Drive also leads on ratings volume (45 vs 5) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). MySurge's advantage is iOS requirement (16.6 vs 18.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MySurge holds the better App Store score, 2.6 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LMD Drive has 45 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of LMD Drive's written reviews are positive against 0% of MySurge's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LMD Drive ships an update every 9 days, MySurge every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
