# Foundation DS vs SU AppCore

The clearest difference is update cadence: SU AppCore at every 9 days against Foundation DS's every 2 months. Foundation DS's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.2 vs 15.6). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Foundation DS against 5.0 for SU AppCore. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Foundation DS has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Foundation DS ships an update every 2 months, SU AppCore every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
