# PROBUS NYC vs TheDesignerBox

The clearest difference is rating: PROBUS NYC at 4.9 against TheDesignerBox's 4.1. PROBUS NYC also leads on ratings volume (1.1K vs 9). TheDesignerBox's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PROBUS NYC holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PROBUS NYC has 1.1K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two.

PROBUS NYC ships an update every 2 months, TheDesignerBox every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
