# Ever Journal vs Shine

The clearest difference is update cadence: Shine at every 5 days against Ever Journal's every 4 weeks. On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ever Journal sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $18.99 per year and Shine sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
