# Ridwell vs Dandy Handyman

The clearest difference is ads: Dandy Handyman at none against Ridwell's shown. Dandy Handyman also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). Ridwell's advantage is ratings volume (9K vs 2). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Ridwell against 5.0 for Dandy Handyman. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ridwell has 9K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Ridwell ships an update every 2 months, Dandy Handyman every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
