# Finito vs LightDays

The clearest difference is monetization model: Finito at free with in-app purchases against LightDays's subscription. Finito also leads on ratings volume (515 vs 38). LightDays's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.5). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Finito sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $69.99 per 3 months and LightDays sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $64.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LightDays holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Finito has 515 ratings behind it against 38, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Finito ships an update every 2 months, LightDays every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
