# LUKtv vs WAVE

The clearest difference is update cadence: WAVE at every 7 months against LUKtv's every 23 months. WAVE also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). LUKtv's advantage is device support. On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

LUKtv ships an update every 23 months, WAVE every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
