# Medtrain vs Skill Sphere

The clearest difference is update cadence: Skill Sphere at every 4 months against Medtrain's every 9 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Medtrain sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Skill Sphere sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Medtrain ships an update every 9 months, Skill Sphere every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and September 9, 2026 respectively.
