# EVO vs Monster Mahjong!

The clearest difference is rating: EVO at 4.6 against Monster Mahjong!'s 4.1. EVO also leads on ratings volume (6.4K vs 28) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EVO sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Monster Mahjong! sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

EVO holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EVO has 6.4K ratings behind it against 28, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 52% of EVO's written reviews are positive against 50% of Monster Mahjong!'s.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
