# eScan vs Hemkunt

The clearest difference is rating: eScan at 4.6 against Hemkunt's 4.0. eScan also leads on ratings volume (3.9K vs 4) and update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). Hemkunt's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. eScan sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Hemkunt asks for nothing beyond the download.

eScan holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: eScan has 3.9K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of eScan's written reviews are positive against 100% of Hemkunt's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

eScan ships an update monthly, Hemkunt every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
