# Z vs Asteroid Miner 3D

The clearest difference is rating: Asteroid Miner 3D at 4.7 against Z's 3.3. Asteroid Miner 3D also leads on ratings volume (4.3K vs 306) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). Z's advantage is review sentiment (35% vs 14%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Z sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Asteroid Miner 3D sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Asteroid Miner 3D holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Asteroid Miner 3D has 4.3K ratings behind it against 306, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of Z's written reviews are positive against 14% of Asteroid Miner 3D's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Z ships an update fortnightly, Asteroid Miner 3D weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
