# WAVE vs GoMax

The clearest difference is update cadence: WAVE at every 7 months against GoMax's every 15 months. WAVE also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). GoMax's advantage is device support. On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

WAVE ships an update every 7 months, GoMax every 15 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
