# The Power List vs Existence

The clearest difference is monetization model: Existence at freemium against The Power List's subscription. Existence also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly). The Power List's advantage is ratings volume (65 vs 6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Power List sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Existence sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $29.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Existence holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Power List has 65 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 80% of The Power List's written reviews are positive against 100% of Existence's.

The Power List ships an update fortnightly, Existence every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
