# HideApp vs PrivCam

The clearest difference is update cadence: PrivCam at every 5 days against HideApp's every 3 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HideApp sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and PrivCam sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

HideApp ships an update every 3 weeks, PrivCam every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
