# QR Wizard vs Notebook

The clearest difference is review sentiment: QR Wizard at 100% against Notebook's 33%. QR Wizard also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Notebook's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QR Wizard sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Notebook sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

QR Wizard holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: QR Wizard has 204 ratings behind it against 34, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of QR Wizard's written reviews are positive against 33% of Notebook's.

QR Wizard ships an update weekly, Notebook every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and September 16, 2026 respectively.
