# Media vs RekoGen

The clearest difference is review sentiment: RekoGen at 67% against Media's 0%. RekoGen also leads on ratings volume (4 vs 1). Media's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.3) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Media holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Media's written reviews are positive against 67% of RekoGen's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Media ships an update fortnightly, RekoGen monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
