# BestMate vs AddWork

The clearest difference is monetization model: AddWork at free with in-app purchases against BestMate's subscription. AddWork also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 91%). BestMate's advantage is ratings volume (391 vs 10) and rating (4.9 vs 4.6). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BestMate sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $39.00 per month and AddWork sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BestMate holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BestMate has 391 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 91% of BestMate's written reviews are positive against 100% of AddWork's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BestMate ships an update every 3 weeks, AddWork every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
