# Holiday Splash Pass vs DogMode

The clearest difference is rating: DogMode at 5.0 against Holiday Splash Pass's 2.8. Holiday Splash Pass's advantage is ratings volume (70 vs 1) and update cadence (every 12 months vs every 28 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DogMode holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Holiday Splash Pass has 70 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Holiday Splash Pass ships an update every 12 months, DogMode every 28 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
