# Flip Clock vs TickClock

The clearest difference is update cadence: TickClock at fortnightly against Flip Clock's every 2 months. Flip Clock's advantage is ratings volume (56 vs 8) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 14.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flip Clock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and TickClock sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Flip Clock against 4.6 for TickClock. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flip Clock has 56 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 93% of Flip Clock's written reviews are positive against 91% of TickClock's.

Flip Clock ships an update every 2 months, TickClock fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and September 20, 2026 respectively.
