# XClip vs DocIt

The clearest difference is monetization model: DocIt at free against XClip's free with in-app purchases. DocIt also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly) and review sentiment (100% vs 83%). XClip's advantage is ratings volume (12 vs 3). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. XClip sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per year and DocIt sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for XClip against 5.0 for DocIt. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 12 and 3 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 83% of XClip's written reviews are positive against 100% of DocIt's.

XClip ships an update fortnightly, DocIt every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
