# Tangent Golf vs Simplify Golf

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Tangent Golf at 431 against Simplify Golf's 3. Tangent Golf also leads on iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). Simplify Golf's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tangent Golf sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Simplify Golf sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Simplify Golf holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tangent Golf has 431 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Tangent Golf ships an update every 2 weeks, Simplify Golf every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
