# Dynalog Casper vs Islet

The clearest difference is update cadence: Islet at every 5 days against Dynalog Casper's every 3 weeks. Dynalog Casper's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Dynalog Casper ships an update every 3 weeks, Islet every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
