# Pudding Scan vs 真好算

The clearest difference is monetization model: 真好算 at free against Pudding Scan's subscription. Pudding Scan's advantage is review sentiment (91% vs 67%) and ratings volume (210 vs 3). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pudding Scan sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and 真好算 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Pudding Scan against 5.0 for 真好算. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pudding Scan has 210 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 91% of Pudding Scan's written reviews are positive against 67% of 真好算's.

Pudding Scan ships an update every 5 weeks, 真好算 monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
