# Genasys Protect vs Final

The clearest difference is rating: Genasys Protect at 2.6 against Final's 1.0. Genasys Protect also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (81 vs 2). Final's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Final sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Genasys Protect asks for nothing beyond the download.

Genasys Protect holds the better App Store score, 2.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Genasys Protect has 81 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Genasys Protect ships an update every 5 weeks, Final every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
