# Ambl vs Dishy

The clearest difference is monetization model: Dishy at free against Ambl's free with in-app purchases. Dishy also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 91%). Ambl's advantage is ratings volume (11 vs 1) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Ambl against 5.0 for Dishy. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ambl has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 91% of Ambl's written reviews are positive against 100% of Dishy's.

Ambl ships an update every 3 weeks, Dishy every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
