# Pointcy vs Rail Ninja

Pointcy and Rail Ninja both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Pointcy's written reviews are positive against 32% of Rail Ninja's. Pointcy also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.5). Rail Ninja's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (6.2K vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Pointcy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rail Ninja has 6.2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Pointcy's written reviews are positive against 32% of Rail Ninja's.

Pointcy ships an update every 6 months, Rail Ninja every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
