# N vs MCTap

The clearest difference is ads: MCTap at none against N's shown. MCTap also leads on iOS requirement (17.6 vs 26.0). N's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs monthly). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. N sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month and MCTap sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

N ships an update every 4 days, MCTap monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
