# Outside vs Audeus Text to Speech

The clearest difference is rating: Outside at 4.6 against Audeus Text to Speech's 3.8. Outside also leads on ratings volume (1.9K vs 40) and chart position (#158 vs unranked). Audeus Text to Speech's advantage is review sentiment (63% vs 22%) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Outside sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $89.99 per year and Audeus Text to Speech sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Outside holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Outside has 1.9K ratings behind it against 40, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 22% of Outside's written reviews are positive against 63% of Audeus Text to Speech's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Outside ships an update every 3 weeks, Audeus Text to Speech weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
