# Chowdown Cincinnati vs Bockfest

The clearest difference is rating: Bockfest at 5.0 against Chowdown Cincinnati's 3.4. Bockfest also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2). Chowdown Cincinnati's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 12 months). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chowdown Cincinnati sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Bockfest asks for nothing beyond the download.

Bockfest holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chowdown Cincinnati has 14 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Chowdown Cincinnati's written reviews are positive against 50% of Bockfest's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Chowdown Cincinnati ships an update every 2 months, Bockfest every 12 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
