# Handshake vs Fellas Loaded

The clearest difference is monetization model: Fellas Loaded at free with in-app purchases against Handshake's subscription. Fellas Loaded also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (66% vs 37%). Handshake's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (196 vs 8). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Handshake sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Fellas Loaded sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Handshake holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Handshake has 196 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 37% of Handshake's written reviews are positive against 66% of Fellas Loaded's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Handshake ships an update fortnightly, Fellas Loaded every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
