# SolarEdge Go vs Generac Field Pro

The clearest difference is rating: Generac Field Pro at 3.1 against SolarEdge Go's 2.2. SolarEdge Go's advantage is ratings volume (170 vs 26). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Generac Field Pro holds the better App Store score, 3.1 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SolarEdge Go has 170 ratings behind it against 26, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 14% of SolarEdge Go's written reviews are positive against 11% of Generac Field Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
